Sennheiser has announced the MOMENTUM 5 Wireless, the fifth generation of its premium over-ear headphone line. Announced on 26 May 2026, the new model builds on its predecessor with a series of targeted updates spanning noise cancellation, codec support, battery design, and spatial audio, while retaining the same 42mm driver unit that featured in the previous generation.
Sennheiser has taken its time with this one. The Momentum 4 Wireless arrived back in 2022, and in a category where most rivals refresh their flagships every couple of years, waiting close to four years for a sequel is unusual. The Momentum 5 Wireless is that sequel, and the company has been careful not to throw out what made the previous model a success. The same 42 mm driver carries over, the marathon battery life stays, and the warm house sound remains the headline. Most of what has changed sits around the edges, with one genuinely useful exception that I will come to shortly.

SwitchBot has announced the Weather Station, a 7.5-inch E-Ink home display that pulls weather data, indoor and outdoor environmental readings, calendar entries and smart home controls onto a single screen. The company describes it as the world’s first E-Ink weather station with a built-in smart calendar, though that is a fairly narrow claim and I would treat the first label with the usual caution. What matters more is whether the combination of features works well day to day, and on paper there is a lot packed into one device.
