A common large-taxonomy classification problem is entity normalization: mapping biomedical mentions or raw transaction strings against 100k+ concept codes and vendors. Combining vector search with the Databricks AI Classify function beats the best cost-efficient frontier model by five points, at a hundredth of the per-document cost.
