CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — The Bryce Jordan Center hosts the United States Olympic wrestling trials.

Live (WJAC) Saturday night, the United States Olympic team was finalized, and one Penn State wrestler pulled off the biggest win of the tournament. It's no surprise that, after winning four NCAA championships, Aaron Brooks met Olympic gold medalist David Taylor in the finals of the USA Olympic trials. But Brooks proved how good he is on Saturday; beating Taylor two matches to zero, and clinching his spot in Paris for summer. Brooks is having an incredible year wrestling; he told 6 News his secret to succeeding at this level. Brooks said, "Just not thinking about it, you know, just, I wrestle right now, so I'm trying to get better. This is where I'm at. So, praise the Lord." Brooks is one of three Olympians from the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club to qualify for Paris. Kyle Snyder and Kyle Dake also qualified on Saturday. Dake, whose father died recently, spoke about the challenges of wrestling without his dad for the first time. Dake said, "I wish he was here, and I want to do him proud, and it's hard to find the words to just say how much he means to me."
