Cam Wright, a moderate, earned 61% of votes cast. He will face Democrat Gary Wilken in the general election.

In local Democrats’ only competitive primary this year, voters overwhelmingly favored the field’s only incumbent. Gosar and Ben-David will face a pair of Republican nominees in the general election.

In the community’s only contested primary for a countywide office this year, a deputy county attorney beat the chair of the local Republican party. Other county office nominees sailed to victory.

In all races other than the Republican primary for U.S. House, Albany County tracked the state vote. Moderate Republican candidates won by greater margins in Albany County.
