CHICOPEE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Following an Amber Alert that was issued Friday when a suspect stole a car outside a store in Chicopee with a young child inside, police are expected to shed new light on what happened.

A 3-year-old child has been reunited with his family after a man stole a 2021 red Toyota Camry from Exchange Street in Chicopee with the child in the back seat.

A 3-year-old boy was found safe, after a car was stolen from Chicopee with him inside. Western Mass News went live in Windsor, Connecticut.

Police have arrested 52-year-old Vadim Vorobyov of Springfield in connection to a car stolen with a 3-year-old in the backseat on Exchange Street in Chicopee.
