Beckley's hottest temperature of 2026 is 91 degrees, while Bluefield has reached 90 degrees – both of these occurred on July 3rd. Especially by Thursday, we will be seeing temperatures very close to, if not, exceeding these highs!
The risk for severe weather will be returning to the Mountain State over the next couple of days, mainly on Friday.
With a forecast of 92 on tap, Thursday is shaping up to be the hottest day of 2026 and the hottest day overall since June 24th, 2025, when we reached 92 degrees.
