This is in response to last week’s letter, “Not gaslighting or fraud.” The man-caused global warming rollout got off to a bad start. A data breach and release of internal Emails in 2009, labeled Climategate, indicated scientists were cooking the books and hiding data. Next, in 2011, came Climategate 2.0. To quote from a Forbes Nov. 23, 2011article, “Three themes are emerging from the newly released emails: (1) prominent scientists central to the global warming debate are taking measures to conceal rather than disseminate underlying data and discussions; (2) these scientists view global warming as a political “cause” rather than a balanced scientific inquiry and (3) many of these scientists frankly admit to each other that much of the science is weak and dependent on deliberate manipulation of facts and data.” Similar data, Climategate 3.0, was released in 2023.
Joe Grant's coverage heavily focuses on local sports events, particularly basketball, soccer, hockey, and golf. His interest in evolving stories suggests he may be open to pitches related to ongoing developments or trends within these sports at the local level.
Given his focus on event coverage and evolving stories in specific sports, Joe is likely interested in receiving timely updates about local sporting events or emerging trends within the mentioned sports categories. Pitches offering exclusive interviews with players or coaches involved in these events may resonate well with him.
Since Joe's geographic focus is local (United States, Maine, Portland), it would be beneficial for PR professionals reaching out to tailor their pitches by emphasizing relevance to this geographic area.
