According to Modesto Fire, two large piles of almond hulls on the 1300 block of Meikle Road began burning on Sunday afternoon, and they will continue to burn for the next several days.

Crews were sent to Eagles Nest Road and Woodring Drive, near Mather, for a report of a crash involving two pedestrians, Metro Fire said.

The San Francisco Fire Department said crews responded to 22nd and Mission streets for a report of a two-vehicle crash.

A Vallejo man is suspected of killing a woman on May 1 and then shooting a man on Tuesday, before being arrested by officers, police said.

Deputies responded to the scene at Freedom Park Drive and 34th Street, and said they learned three people had been in an argument before the shooting.

About 200 firefighters were battling the Putah Fire near Winters on Monday, alongside multiple fire engines and air tankers.

The fire was near the 3100 block of Locke Drive and began burning around 3:15 p.m.

The warning covers parts of the East Bay hills and the North Bay interior mountains, and begins at 11 p.m. Thursday.

Officers were called just before 1 p.m. and told a body had been found at the waste facility located on the 700 block of Los Esteros Road.
