Do you want to foster positivity, strengthen relationships and connections? Come join us in learning to build a digital gratitude wall to express your appreciation whether at school, workplace, community or personal space. We will guide you in creating a culture of kindness and true connections.

We've designed these sessions to provide quick overviews of different trauma-informed tools and techniques that you can implement personally or with clients. This four-part series is designed to provide skills and tools to create a safe and supportive environment for neurodivergent children and youth. The fourth and final training in the series will identify techniques to manage escalation and reduce the intensity and duration of a crisis by utilizing supportive and compassionate strategies.

Then come join us for music and art therapy exercises such as Progressive Music and Art Therapy, a technique used to reduce stress/anxiety and improve sleep.

This training explores developmental milestones of early childhood, shares ways to build and strengthen connections between caregivers and young children, and provides strategies for addressing challenges such as temper tantrums and big behaviors typical for this age group.

During Virginia's Resilience Week 2026, happening May 1–7, Greater Richmond SCAN will be hosting a series of mini trainings highlighting the ACES Aware Stress Busters. During each 30-minute training, we will describe the stress buster and provide examples of how to enact it in practice. The stress busters include quality sleep, balanced nutrition, physical activity, mindfulness practices, experiencing nature, mental healthcare, and supportive relationships.

This training will explore what current evidence tells us about the impact of digital media on infants, children, and adolescents, examined through developmental, relational, and safety lenses. Participants will learn how screen use can influence brain development, mental health, behavior, peer relationships, and the parent–child relationship, while also considering protective factors and healthy uses of technology. Participants will leave with concrete tools, including guidance for boundary-setting and family media planning.
