The Delaware Arts Festival is celebrating 51 years of family fun in 2026. The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, in historic downtown Delaware.

The vast majority of American Legion posts in America are named in honor of military veterans, including the Jenkins-Vaughan Post 97 in Cardington. Knowing the stories behind the namesakes of these posts, however, can often be a mystery to not only the local community, but also to officers and members of the local Legion.
Neither lightning, rain, or wind kept the Delaware Arts Festival from starting on Saturday, May 16. By early afternoon, the sky cleared, the sun shone, and slowly visitors began to arrive for a day of family fun and entertainment.
The Friends of the Delaware County District Library will host author Laura Kamoie on Thursday, June 25, to celebrate her new book, “A Founding Mother — A Novel of Abigail Adams.” This ticketed event will be held at 6 p.m. at the Dempsey Event Center, 123 Hyatts Road, Delaware.

The Delaware Eagles recently donated $10,000 to the Delaware Loop, whose mission is to empower teens and young adults with exceptionalities to grow friendships, strengthen social skills, and build confidence through meaningful social experiences.

WESTERVILLE — Otterbein University’s Department of Equine Science will be expanding its partnership with The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine through the new Large Animal Rural Veterinary Mentoring Program (LARVMP).
As a result of smoke from the Canadian wildfires, Delaware County residents were left to deal with hazy skies and hazardous air quality conditions on Friday. The conditions also forced numerous closures throughout the county.
