Humans have long been enchanted by the moon. It's quite lovely in any and all of its phases, though the full moon is probably the favorite.

Soap operas were once the staple of daytime TV. I recall our great-aunt, Hilda, admonishing us not to visit our call at 10 a.m. on weekdays.

Since we live in the great Northwoods of Wisconsin the grass in our yard has been trod by many a critter. Seems there's always one type or another walking through.

At our house we get a newspaper called the Agri-View. It's a farm paper, filled with farm-related information and sales offerings.

When we built the house where we now live for that first year we didn't have a yard. Or I should say we didn't have a lawn — you know the thing with grass — just dirt.

As shoppers in the present day we get many items via truck delivery. There's the familiar brown UPS van, the Fed-Ex truck, the Spee-Dee delivery van and probably more I'm not thinking of.

I'm a sucker for wind chimes. Not necessarily the little tinkly ones, but the ones that actually strike musical notes.

My childhood didn't find me getting scolded over-much. I was a pretty well-behaved kid. Spankings were rare indeed. But there was the occasional talking-to, usually by Mom.

Well, the biggest event in the nation is now past and I missed it. Oh. The USA's 250th birthday party? Nah, I celebrated that locally.

Prompts. They can be a cure for writer's block. At least get the writing juices flowing so you get something on the paper.
