Roughly forty volunteers put their backs into efforts to repair and refresh sections of the Millbrook Valley Trails in early May. They were treated to a wide variety of weather, from brilliant sunshine to a few flurries, but all kept smiling. Among the projects was some boardwalk repairs replacing rotted boards, new mulch covering worn trail sections and anew section of mulch covering invasive plants that had perked up after the removal of some dead trees provided more sunlight. Piles of mulch material and lumber had been delivered by municipal staff earlier in the week to ensure volunteers had what they needed to get the job done.
