There are many different ways people in our communities can learn more about life with a disability. Embrace every opportunity to better understand people impacted by these experiences. The more we learn about the disabled, the more we are able to appreciate their unique differences, talents and insights. I use my own talents to educate and advocate for that community. If you have followed my articles, you can see that through my columns. Helping others better understand disabled individuals' needs and experiences is important. Every day we improve their lives in subtle or more significant ways.

Inclusion makes a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. It instills a sense of belonging in everyone. Inclusion can be a transformative change in the lives of disabled people. Even in 2026, inclusion is not something that should ever be taken for granted in any setting. It doesn't always happen as much as it should. It needs to happen for the sake of so many people in every community.
