The S&P BSE Sensex was down 107.15 points to 80,270.98 at 9:21 am, while the NSE Nifty50 fell 47.25 points to trade at 24,436.80.

The S&P BSE Sensex dropped 55.47 points to settle at 79,486.32, while the NSE Nifty50 fell 89.95 points to 24,109.40.

After opening in green, the S&P BSE Sensex reversed course, dragged down by banking, financial services, and auto stocks. The Nifty50, too, faced a broad-based decline, with nearly all sectoral indices closing in the red except for Nifty Realty.

The Sensex was up 2039.44 points to 79,195.23 at 2:57 pm, while the NSE Nifty50 gained 587.90 to 23,938.75.

At the closing bell, the S&P BSE Sensex ended 1190.34 points lower at 79,043.74, while the NSE Nifty50 fell 360.75 to settle below 24,000.
