If you were a student at Michigan State University or if you spent any time in Downtown East Lansing at all, it's more than likely you've come across M.A.C. Avenue.

The name Big Penny has become synonymous with famous celebrities—dare I say, people—of Lansing.

Michiganders love a good craft beer. Don't believe me? Well, facts say otherwise... and facts say that we've got over 350 craft breweries throughout the state.

There's a certain kind of Michigander who ends up disappearing into the woods each spring. And yes, I'm talking about hunting. But, probably not the hunting you're thinking of...

Now that Michigan's weather is much more enjoyable (read: sunny and warm), Michiganders are taking full advantage of being outside.

Balloons are used to celebrate all kinds of events in Michigan. Birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, grand opening events, you name it.

Other states might try to compete, but Michigan does lake life better than anyone else. Not only are we home to the Great Lakes — and have a nickname to match — we're home to thousands of inland lakes as well.

The reward for surviving a Michigan winter is getting to enjoy glorious Michigan summers. For some people, that's swimming in the Great Lakes or just enjoying a day not in sub-Arctic temperatures.

It's inevitable that we will see businesses open and close in Lansing. However, it is particularly devastating to see such a beloved business close after being a part of the community for so long.
