The 2025 Atlantic hurricane season ended Sunday, Nov. 30 – marking the first time in nearly a decade that no major hurricanes made landfall in the U.S.

As heavy rain pushes through on Sunday, some areas could see over 4 inches of rain, depending on if they get caught in a heavier downpour or a thunderstorm.

On the first night of spring, March 20, we'll see clear conditions with lows dipping back into the upper 40s in Gainesville and Ocala and lower 50s in Orlando. With the light wind and clear sky, some patchy fog is on the table along I-4.

Though the weekend of March 21 is expected to be warm and sunny, beachgoers should be wary of strong rip currents along the Florida coast. If a red flag is flying, simply put, don't go in the water.

Colorado State University released its first tropical outlook for the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season, predicting a "below-average season."

Storms will continue and slowly fizzle through the overnight with an isolated shower lingering into Monday with temps falling into the upper 60s with muggy conditions.
