A Long Island architect who lived a secret life as New York's Gilgo Beach serial killer is to be sentenced Wednesday, after having admitted in court that he murdered eight women.

BRIDGEPORT — At least three state agencies are investigating the death of a 41-year-old inmate found with a ligature around his neck shortly after being placed in state Department of Correction custody, officials say.

Wilton police are looking for information on the suspect who attempted to break into a home in the area of Buckingham Ridge Road on Wednesday night.

K9 teams from the Westport and Ridgefield police departments did a track of the area but no suspect was found, Wilton police said.
