Since the program's inception, $15 million has been awarded to nonprofits, according to Cathryn Vaulman, director of communications for the governor. Lamont Tuesday is expected to announce $5 million allocated by the State Bond Commission for Connecticut's Nonprofit Security Grant Program, which includes houses of worship for all faiths.
