Each person that went before the camera had a unique story. Whether they were part of a family where generations of family members have been farming in Lima Township or if they had recently moved to the area wanting to get out of the city and into a more rural setting, their stories were recorded in an effort to let Consumers Energy know who they are and how they feel about the community they live in.

The DCS Board of Education approved tentative agreements (TAs) at their June 22 meeting with the following employee groups: DAA – Dexter Administrators' Association DESPA – Dexter Educational Support Personnel Association WWBDAMA – Western Washtenaw Bus Drivers and Monitors Association

The upcoming vote on August 4 is an important one for the Chelsea School District (CSD), so much so they are providing information to the community about the Millage Proposals on the ballot and why they matter.

Dexter Community Schools (DCS) adjusted their Wireless Communication policy to align with Michigan Senate Bill 495 and House Bill 4141.

This summer the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)is inviting community members to one-on-one listening sessions so the agency can learn how residents want to be informed and engaged, identify information and resource gaps, and educate the community about EPA, the site and the Superfund program.

The supervisor candidates are George Goodman, Peter Stevens and John Scharf. The township board and gathered public at a special meeting on June 30, where each candidate gave a stump speech and participated in a Question and Answer period with the board.
