SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A Chatham County jury has reached a verdict in the case of Derek Johnson after 2 weeks of trial and testimony.

Julian Bryant, 42, was arrested this weekend and charged with murder and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies.

Police confirmed officers have responded to this Bradford Court address, where the shooting happened outside of, 7 times in the past 2 years.

Chief Judge Huffman denied bond, saying Herfurt poses a significant risk of danger to the community. The judge said Dyches could provide services to Herfurt at the detention center in the meantime, as the Chatham County jail is also a dry facility.

The judge noted Wilson is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 320 pounds and said stomping an unconscious person “shocks the conscience,” calling the conduct “borderline attempted murder.” The judge said the actions demonstrated a significant risk of danger to the community.

Court records show Kearney was out on bond at the time of the incident for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was not arrested until last week for this April incident.

POOLER, Ga. ( WTOC /Gray News) - A 45-year-old man was arrested after allegedly impersonating a police officer and forcing a woman to perform sexual acts under the threat of arrest.

23-year-old Tahj Hemphill is charged with the murder of Denise Williams , 23, who he told investigators was his wife.
