A tour guide holds a picture of the former Knox Barber Shop, which stood on the site of the current Greenfield City Hall in downtown Greenfield. The barbershop was opened by George Knox in the 1860s inside Gooding Tavern. The site would later become the National City Bank, and on this week back in 2001 the Greenfield Board of Works approved a contract to turn the bank building into city hall.
