HAZEL GREEN — The SWAL Conference held its boys and girls conference track meets at Southwestern High School in Hazel Green on Monday, May 18. WAUPUN — The Capitol Conference held its boys and girls track and field championship at Waupun on Tuesday, May 19. Lakeside Lutheran won the boys meet with 118 points and they won the girls meet with 140.5 points. In the boys meet, New Glarus was fifth with 68 points and Belleville was 12th with 20.5 points. On the girls side, New Glarus finished fourth with 81 points and Belleville was 10th with 21 points.
The Monroe Cheesemakers smashed the Monona Grove Silver Eagles 18-1 in five innings in nonconference softball action to close the regular season on Thursday, May 21.
