TotalEnergies has accelerated its European clean energy push with two strategic transactions that underscore its commitment to scaling renewables while maintaining capital discipline. The French energy giant is acquiring Shell's onshore renewables business in Europe, a move that strengthens its position in deregulated markets and aligns with its Integrated Power strategy. At the same time, TotalEnergies is selling a 50% stake in a 1.2 GW onshore solar and wind portfolio to KKR, a deal that frees up capital for reinvestment while retaining operational control.
