PLANTERSVILLE — A father and son were arrested in connection to a murder on Blue Lake Drive in Plantersville, Wednesday, Jan. 29.

A Navasota man pleaded guilty to sexual assault of a 14–year–old and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Isaiah Deangelo Wilson, 35 of Navasota, accepted a 10–year plea agreement for Sexual Assault of a Child, a second–degree felony that faced a punishment range of 2–20 years in prison. The investigation into the assault began Feb. 27, 2023, when Navasota Police Department took the report of a 14–year–old female being sexually assaulted by an adult male known as “Beno.” NPD Investigator, Michael Srinual, identified Wilson, who was 33 years old at the time of the assault.

One person was killed Tuesday night when they were struck by a vehicle on the westbound lanes of Texas 90, around a mile east of Navasota High School.

Around 9:50 p.m., Navasota Police were notified by Washington County that a stolen truck and trailer was traveling eastbound on Texas 105 toward Navasota.

BEDIAS — Charges are pending for a 35–year–old Huntsville woman that is suspected of causing a crash Friday night that killed three Grimes County people on Texas 90 near the Grimes and Madison County line.

A three–vehicle crash early Thursday morning on Texas 105 killed a Bryan woman and sent multiple people to the hospital with incapacitating injuries.

TODD MISSION — Todd Mission City Manager, Neal Wendele, confirmed George Coulam, who founded the Texas Renaissance Festival, was found deceased in his home Wednesday morning, May 21.
