Sakinaka Police have booked a medical student from Telangana and an unidentified man for allegedly making a false drug party complaint and trespassing into an Andheri East resident's home after their marriage was called off. Police raided the house following the tip-off but found no drugs or party. An FIR has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Mumbai film writer Mallika Gharde has alleged that Geeta Yadav cheated her and her late husband of ₹2.20 crore by promising auctioned properties, including a Juhu flat, Lonavala farmhouse and car at discounted prices. The Kurar police registered an FIR against Yadav on August 22. Police found she allegedly operated a real estate entity for personal purposes.

MIDC police's anti-narcotics squad arrested a man after seizing 302 grams of heroin worth ₹3.50 crore in Jogeshwari East. The suspect was spotted behaving suspiciously near Hemant Karkare Garden and allegedly tried to flee. A search led to the recovery of the drug. Police registered a case for alleged possession, sale and transportation of narcotics.

Dahisar police arrested 34-year-old Sandeep Upadhyay for allegedly possessing a country-made pistol and six live cartridges near Dahisar Check Naka. Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted him near Mahanagar Gas pump and seized the firearm and ammunition worth ₹45,000. A case was registered under the Arms Act and Maharashtra Police Act, with further investigation underway.

Mumbai Police arrested two men wanted in separate cases decades ago. Sakinaka Police nabbed 59-year-old Suresh Chander Adagale, wanted since 1986 for murder, from Pune. Borivali Police arrested 55-year-old Omprakash Lalta Pasi in Mira Road for allegedly attacking a cricket umpire with a bat in 1990. Both had evaded arrest for decades.

A drunk-driving case against 70-year-old Andheri resident Sharad Kadam has come under scrutiny after Cooper and Nanavati Hospital tests found NIL alcohol. An ACP inquiry also flagged lapses, including the absence of an initial blood test and failure to obtain a breath-analyser reading, while witnesses said Kadam suffered a stroke.

Bangur Nagar police arrested Pradip Mane within 24 hours for allegedly attempting to steal from an international bank branch in Evershine Nagar, Malad. Mane allegedly broke the bank's lock, damaged CCTV cameras and wires linked to the server and locker room, and opened drawers. Police said he lived on the footpath and had previous theft cases.

A 64-year-old retired bank manager from Juhu was allegedly cheated of ₹3.84 crore after scammers posing as ATS officers placed him under digital arrest for 10 days. The fraudsters claimed his documents were linked to terror funding and threatened arrest. Police have frozen ₹2 crore across 150 accounts and are tracing the remaining funds.

Vanrai police arrested 29-year-old Swaraj Ghosalkar for allegedly posing as an MPCB field officer and extorting Rs 10,000 from a Goregaon factory owner. He allegedly demanded more money for pollution clearance before police caught him at the factory on August 26.

Two Rajasthan men were arrested for allegedly cheating a Borivali chemical supplier of ₹17.65 lakh using fake payment receipts and forged documents. Police suspect the industrial solvents were diverted to illicit drug units. The accused allegedly targeted 39 chemical firms across five states.
