A Powai businessman recovered the entire Rs 6.62 lakh he lost in a fake MGL gas bill scam after the Dindoshi Sessions Court directed the accused to deposit the money before hearing his anticipatory bail plea. The victim, who had postponed his daughter's wedding after the fraud, has now rescheduled it. Mumbai and Mangaluru police tracked the money trail and secured the recovery.

A 3,500-page chargesheet in the NESCO drug case alleges an organised Germany-linked MDMA trafficking network supplied Ecstasy pills at an April 11 techno concert in Mumbai where two people died. Police claim organisers ignored drug sales, college students were used to expand the network via WhatsApp, and 14 accused have been arrested while one Germany-based suspect remains wanted.

A chain-reaction collision involving five cars, a private bus and two motorcycles disrupted traffic on Mumbai's Western Express Highway at Magathane Bridge in Borivali East on Thursday. The crash was triggered after bikers skidded on the rain-slick road, forcing a car to brake suddenly. No injuries were reported, and traffic resumed within 20 minutes.
