Borivali police have booked 10 people, including Jatin Sharma, for allegedly firing a baby airgun during a birthday celebration on a public road in Gorai, Borivali West. The group reportedly caused traffic disruption and panic among residents. Police acted suo motu after a video surfaced online and registered a case under relevant BNS provisions.

Mumbai's Amboli police arrested a 26-year-old domestic help, Rahul Kumar Shafi, for allegedly stealing ₹46.8 lakh worth of gold jewellery and 120-year-old British-era coins from his employer's Andheri West home. Shafi, who had worked with the family for nearly a decade, was caught at Mumbai Airport while trying to flee to Bihar. Police recovered the stolen valuables.

Sahar police issued a Look Out Circular against a 41-year-old Trombay woman accused of fleeing to Kuwait after allegedly failing to deliver valuables worth ₹14.42 lakh. Businessman Umar Rajput had given her gold ornaments, an iPhone, laptop, clothes and chocolates in Dubai for delivery to his wife in Mumbai. Only clothes and chocolates were later recovered from the airport.

A 41-year-old Mumbai Police constable deployed outside actor Salman Khan's Bandra residence died after suffering a suspected heart attack on Friday evening, police said. Ganesh Raite complained of uneasiness while on duty and was rushed to Bhabha Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. A post-mortem will confirm the exact cause.

Juhu police have arrested five men for allegedly murdering 35-year-old watchman Mohan Yadav and plotting to rob a businessman's family in Vile Parle. The alleged mastermind, the family's longtime cook, reportedly obtained duplicate keys and shared details of valuables. The accused allegedly sedated and strangled Yadav before dumping his body in a water tank.

A 65-year-old scientist-businessman from Kolkata has alleged that $6,000 (around Rs 5.28 lakh) was stolen from his room at a five-star hotel in Bandra West. Bandra police have registered a theft case against an unidentified person. Investigators are questioning hotel staff, examining CCTV footage and checking whether the money may have been misplaced at the complainant's home.

Six doctors were allegedly cheated of nearly Rs 40 lakh by a Malad couple who promised to lease hospital space at Banarasi Heights in Mindspace. The doctors paid Rs 49.85 lakh as advance rent but cancelled the deal after learning the property was mortgaged. Though Rs 10 lakh was refunded, the remaining amount was allegedly withheld for nearly five years. Charkop police have registered an FIR.

A 36-year-old man, Mohammad Rizwan Ansari, was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman aboard a CSMT-Goregaon local after an argument over a seat. The incident occurred on August 5 and came to light after a video surfaced online. Andheri GRP traced the accused to Govandi and registered an FIR under Sections 74, 296 and 115 of the BNS.
