Meredith College's Director of Student Health and Wellness, Mary Johnson, DNP, FNP-BC, CWP, continues to serve in leadership roles within the Southern College Health Association (SCHA), the regional affiliate of the American College Health Association (ACHA).

Meredith alumna Nicole Benjamin, ’17, helped create The Ebony Canal, an award-winning documentary that is bringing attention to the important issue of maternal healthcare disparities.

The annual Parents and Families Project continues to generate excitement within the Meredith community. This year's initiative will support enhancements to the second-floor study spaces in the Cate Student Center.

Meredith College art students gained inspiration and insights from a new setting during the Art, Culture, and Landscape in New Mexico class. This spring course included early summer travel to Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Taos, and Abiquiu/Ghost Ranch, which was once Georgia O’Keeffe’s home and studio.

Meredith College is closed on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.

Meredith College welcomed students attending the 2026 N.C. Governor’s School East to campus on June 21. The program continues through July 19.

The Meredith College campus stays active throughout the summer, with summer school, hosting N.C. Governor’s School East, and sponsoring a variety of summer programs.
