SPRINGFIELD — Renew Weight Loss Med Spa, a weight loss clinic on 235 Chestnut St. had its grand opening on April 5. Attendees included Counselor Zaida Govan and Jack Clemente and Traci Talbert from the Franklin County Community Development Corporation.

LONGMEADOW — A pickleball fundraiser benefiting the Longmeadow Food Pantry will take place on Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Longmeadow Adult Center, 211 Maple Rd.

Keynote speaker and group facilitator Izzy Gesell has been using humor and imagination to improve workplace environments and relationships for over 25 years. On April 20, he is conducting a workshop called “Staying Balanced in an Unbalanced World: Easy Improv Games Anyone Can Play with Izzy Gesell” in the Lang Auditorium at the Westfield Athenaeum from 10 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. The class is free, and attendees can participate as much or as little as they feel comfortable doing.

WESTFIELD — Run Westfield will kick off this year’s Flat Fast 5K Run and Walk at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4.

EAST LONGMEADOW — From April 24 through May 4, Pete’s Sweets presents its Wonka Themed Experience Chocolate Extravaganza, complete with lavish decorations, costumes and a themed menu.

EAST LONGMEADOW — Children of all ages get ready for some family friendly fun. On May 11, there’ll be a show circus at East Longmeadow High School, 180 Maple St. Doors will open at 10 a.m. Free balloon creations by Brie’s Balloons and popcorn will be available for purchase before the show begins at 11 a.m.

LONGMEADOW — The purpose of the Longmeadow Town Tree Committee is to promote a healthy and sustainable community forest. For over 20 years, the town has been awarded Tree City USA.

WESTFIELD — Last year, country singer-songwriter Bekka Dowland kicked off the summer with her island beach-infused song “Malibu,” which reached No. 6 on country radio charts.
