HUNTERSVILLE – This year’s Junion will present Reunion Project co-chair, Andre’ Kearns, sharing his latest research on Henry Brevard of Lincoln County, made possible through HEARTS Reunion Project. LINCOLNTON – It’s been more than three decades since Joanna Underwood directed “Annie” for the Lincoln Theatre Guild (LTG). A lot has happened to Joanna and her husband, Neil Underwood, in the past 30-odd years, but that’s a story for another time. Needless to say, their marriage has survived two, really three, productions of “Annie,” the third (in 2012) was while they were both at North Lincoln High School. Joanna Underwood directed, and Neil Underwood directed the orchestra. In both LTG productions, Neil Underwood landed the part of Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks.

LINCOLNTON – At their only meeting in July, which was held on July 20, the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners voted 3:1 to deny approval of a plat for a 40-lot subdivision based on the adopted findings of fact; Commissioner Mark Mullen voting in favor, with commissioners Bud Cesena, Alex Patton and Jamie Lineberger voting no. Commissioner Trent Carpenter was absent from the meeting.
