Steven Spielberg is the king of blockbuster entertainment. He's the mastermind behind awe-inspiring films as "Jaws," "Raiders of the Lost Ark," and "Jurassic Park," to name a few. In recent years, it's felt like Spielberg was slowing down with smaller films, like the musical remake "West Side Story" or his highly personal modern classic "The Fabelmans." But with "Disclosure Day," Spielberg proves he still has what it takes to craft gripping action sequences intertwined with real emotion.

Aliens have always been a topic of interest for Steven Spielberg. His earlier 1977 film "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" approached the subject with a sense of wonder and awe. Later in his career, he'd make an action-oriented adaptation of "War of the Worlds," with its alien invasion story commentating on a country still reeling from the impact of 9/11. And now, Spielberg wants the truth to be made public with "Disclosure Day."

May 2026 was a fantastic month for horror. "Obsession" blew everyone away at the box office, while "Backrooms" may have confused audiences but also successfully translated an internet meme for the big screen. Amidst that excitement, it would be easy to overlook "Hokum," but this film is worth your time just as much as "Obsession" or "Backrooms."

It's very appropriate that a film called "Obsession" is all anyone can talk about online right now. People are rightfully obsessed with the new low-budget horror film about a guy who makes a wish for his crush to love him more than anyone else on Earth. He gets precisely what he wishes for — but that becomes a problem when her obsession veers into horrific territory.

One of Devon Sawa's most famous roles is his turn as the obsessed fan in Eminem's "Stan" music video, but a different actor could have landed the part.

The first trailer for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" showed Tom Holland back in the saddle as everyone's favorite web-slinger. But after the multiversal mayhem of "Spider-Man: No Way Home," it appears as though "Brand New Day" will be a more grounded story (or at least as grounded as you can get with a guy with spider powers). Peter Parker (Holland) is struggling when his powers start mutating him into something else all while various threats are emerging around New York City. It was an incredibly exciting tease, and now, the second trailer has offered an even better look at Spidey's next adventure.
