(COLDWATER) - A pavement project is set to start Monday on the east side of Coldwater. The Michigan Department of Transportation along with State Contractor C&D Hughes Inc. will be doing a pavement repair project on U.S. 12 at the I-69 interchange from Michigan Avenue to Willowbrook Road.

(LAGRANGE) - Applications are open for the 2027 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship. The LaGrange County Community Foundation opened the applications recently. The Scholarship Program will provide 147 scholarships statewide, including one scholarship to a graduating senior from LaGrange County.

(STURGIS) - Today is the first day of school for many districts in Michigan. Locally, Sturgis, White Pigeon, Constatine and Mendon along with Colon and Bronson will start classes today. Three Rivers will begin on Tuesday, and Centreville started last week.

(CASSOPOLIS) - The Cass County Sheriff's Office is warning residents about an ongoing scam they have been made aware of. The scammers call their victims and claim they have an outstanding warrant, missed jury duty or owe money to the court. They may even use the name and information of an actual law enforcement officer to make the call sound legitimate. They may even threaten to arrest the victim if they don't pay immediately.

(MENDON) - The Three Rivers volleyball team won the St. Joseph County Volleyball Tournament. In pool play, the Lady Wildcats beat Centreville and White Pigeon, then knocking off Constantine in the semifinals and Sturgis in the finals. Leah Kane had 41 digs and 5 aces. Kenna Plotts had 64 assists, 17 digs, 13 kills and 3 blocks. Braylee Burg had 19 kills and 9 blocks while Liv Wenzel had 20 kills, 7 digs and 5 blocks.

(MENDON) - White Pigeon went 0-2 at the St. Joseph County Volleyball Tournament, falling to Centreville and eventual champions Three Rivers. Coach Melissa Swinehart says her team is making improvements anc continuing to grow. Kate Montandon had 39 assists, 3 aces and 4 digs. Kadance Smith had 15 kills while Ari Black had 9 kills and 6 digs.

(MENDON) - Centreville went 1-2 at the St. Joseph County Volleyball Tournament. In pool play the Lady Bulldogs lost to Three Rivers and beat White Pigeon. Then in the semifinals, they lost to Sturgis. Kalli Snead had 19 assists and 4 digs for Centreville. Emma Perez had 14 kills and 15 digs while Addy Mastney had 11 kills.
