Midwood Learning Academy on Central Avenue was ordered to inform parents of all enrolled children that the business would be closed immediately.

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – Investigators say it could be months before we know what sparked a fire at a summer camp in Hendersonville.

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Two people are accused of stealing nearly 600 Venus flytraps. It happened last month at a nature conservancy near Wilmington. Someone reported seeing two people digging up the plants. They were later found at a nearby gas station. Police reportedly found the plants in their backpacks.

She is pleading with people this spring: don’t buy bunnies on a whim. Bruce explains, “For whatever reason, they end up dumping them outside. And that’s when we get a call and we end up rescuing them. And we get we get overwhelmed.”

A search warrant has revealed new and disturbing details about how investigators found their bodies.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The daughter of local radio host Bo Thompson has passed away. 20-year-old Janey Thompson was a sophomore at Wake Forest University, majoring in biophysics. Her father co-hosts Good Morning BT with Bo Thompson and Beth Troutman on WBT Radio. WBT released a statement that says Janey passed away Tuesday evening after suffering complications from a blood clot.
