As Doctor of Credit posted this morning , some users are seeing Paze as a payment option for purchases at giftcards.com. However, according to a comment linked in an update at Doctor of Credit, purchases from “gift card merchants ” are excluded from some of the recent Paze promotions. While there have been some opportunities to buy gift cards from some participating merchants, giftcards.com certainly sounds like it would fit the definition of a “gift card merchant”. I therefore wouldn't expect that this one will be eligible to trigger any of the recent promotions.

Bilt has today added Preferred Hotels I Prefer as its latest loyalty transfer partner. Points will transfer at a 1:2 ratio from Bilt Points to I Prefer, which matches the newer Citi and Capital One transfer ratios to I Prefer. It's great to see another lodging partner added to the Bilt ecosystem, though the 1:2 transfer ratio is relatively common at this point, so it feels like less of a win. I suspect that we may see a transfer bonus coming on July 1st, so keep your eyes peeled if you're flush with Bilt points and might be interested in a transfer to I Prefer at a better transfer ratio.

Bilt is not a great rewards ecosystem for someone who is primarily interested in sharing their points. On our most recent coffee break episode, we covered which programs are better for that purpose . However, Bilt does have an innovative feature whereby they allow a primary cardholder to designate whether an authorized user's purchases should earn points and/or Bilt cash for the primary card member or for the authorized user.
