Tellico Plains’ Skyler Day was named the District 3-2A Offensive Player of the Year, while she was joined by two teammates, and four Sweetwater Lady Wildcats, on the All-District team.

The search for Sweetwater’s next Lady Wildcat basketball coach led the program back to a familiar name, with plenty of success around the sports in the school.

Four Sequoyah Lady Chiefs earned their way onto the All-District 5-3A team after the squad finished third in a league that featured the eventual Class 3A state champions.

Sweetwater’s Justin Deaton was named the District 3-A Offensive Player of the year, leading three more Wildcats — Will Bowman, Colton Holder and Aiden McKenzie — on the All-District 3-A
