The United Nations General Assembly declared May 3 of every year as World Press Freedom Day, to raise awareness of the importance of freedom of the press, and to remind governments of their duty to respect, and uphold the right to freedom of expression enshrined under Article 19 of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

A statement by the Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), Ajuri Ngelale on Friday, said the projects support the federal government’s effort to grow value from the nation’s gas assets while eliminating gas flaring.
