He led Kohala in scoring as a freshman, when the Cowboys won the Division II state title, and again as a sophomore as they repeated. He took a journey to Utah Prep as a junior, returned late in the season after a coaching change there, but suffered an ankle injury at the state tournament.
The speedy wide receiver was a Star-Advertiser All-State second-team selection as a junior and senior. Kane was also a boys soccer All-State selection as a senior, and a second-team pick as a junior.
