A statewide Karnataka bandh is likely to be held on August 13, 2026, for at least 12 hours, starting from 6:00 am and ending at 6:00 pm. The Nagaland state has declared its first Dear Thursday weekly lottery at 1pm on August 13, 2026. This one is called Dear Star Morning lottery, offering Rs 1 crore as the first prize. Dear Star will not be the only lottery of the day. The state is also scheduled to declare Dear Supreme Evening and Dear Fame Night lottery at 6pm and 8pm of Thursday. Both the Dear 6PM and Dear 8PM lotteries also offers Rs 1 crore bumper prize. In total, the Nagaland state declares three lotteries and cumulatively gives up to Rs 3 crore as first prizes, making it one of the largest state lotteries in India.

e-KYC is nearing this week. Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have asked citizens to complete LPG biometric Aadhaar authentication by April 16, 2026, for uninterrupted LPG services. The Aadhaar-based e-KYC has been made mandatory since the US-Israel-Iran war started this year. However, the rule is applicable to only those Indian households who have not completed their e-KYC yet. Also, the Oil Ministry has already clarified that citizens who have already done their e-KYC does not need to do it again.
