Amazon's new Echo Studio (2025), unveiled last September and launched in India in May 2026, boasts a 40% smaller, spherical design with "premium audio" and a smarter Alexa experience powered by the AZ3 Pro chip. It includes Dolby Atmos and upgraded Alexa Plus in supported regions. While its new touch controls are convenient, the matte finish is prone to fingerprints. Connectivity features Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, but lacks wired audio inputs. The speaker delivers room-filling sound with clear vocals and immersive Dolby Atmos, though its bass isn't as detailed as the 2019 model. Alexa is more responsive, but the built-in temperature sensor isn't fully integrated for voice commands. The reviewer notes it's a "smart device first and a speaker second," preferring the first-gen's audio. Despite this, it's an impressive smart speaker, offering a compact design, big sound, and new routine capabilities for $220.
