Grand Canyon University celebrated its second Amethyst Gala Friday evening at the Canyon Activity Center. The event was a celebration and benefit for the Ingram Honors College growth initiatives. College's namesakes Sheila and Mike Ingram and Pono Construction President Butch Glispie were honored with Amethyst Awards.

LOPES Academy hosted 16 alumni Thursday morning for their first alumni summer Olympics. The event featured multiple games, including the "Human Knot," “Head, Shoulders, Knees, Cone” and an intense relay race inside the Lopes Performance Center.
