This should not be difficult. You have a women's basketball league that has been around for a few decades with little attention. The games were played in front of small turnouts in small arenas and even lower TV ratings. Some good players were fed to the league by schools like UConn, Baylor, and even So. Carolina, but the league never generated much excitement. Then came the equivalent of Tiger Woods in a phenom from Iowa who had rewritten the NCAA record books. Caitlin Clark began making a name for herself when she set her sights on the all-time scoring record for Division I basketball. It didn't hurt that Clark was in the shooting zone as soon as she crossed half court. Her passing and shooting were so dominant that she was like a female version of the Globetrotters without the comedy.

The biggest difference between the Tea Party and the Democratic Socialists of America is that the Tea Party wanted the country to come back to a center-right position. In contrast, the DSA wants to tear down America as we know it and rebuild it in a Socialist or Communist model. On the surface, the DSA platform is very frustrating, because there is not a single instance of Socialism or Communism that has worked for its people or country. The young people behind the DSA do not have a core understanding of Socialism and how it has starved and stifled every population where it surfaced. The plan has many wants and asks, but it has been obvious since early on that no one in this new party has given much thought beyond creating catchphrases or talking points.

Hakeem Jeffries had been keeping a low profile for a few weeks, and would have done himself a huge favor if he had stayed out of the spotlight. Jeffries surfaced on Tuesday to supposedly answer questions as to why he had a one-on-one meeting with Jared Kushner. He looked and acted like a kid on summer vacation who had just gone to Coney Island, and his Mom bought him a silly green Yankees hat that she told him he would grow into. He won't.

Governor Kathy Hochul of New York and Mayor Michelle Wu of Boston share a serious case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). Unfortunately for their constituents, they are letting this malady interfere with their job of keeping the people of New York and Boston safe. This situation stems from an ongoing battle with ICE. It has forced the two elected officials to choose between protecting the citizens who put them in office and the illegal alien criminals that have infiltrated their respective spaces. The battle line these two women have chosen is so bizarre and defies any logical debate. Both women contend that ICE is wreaking havoc on their streets and innocent people are being killed. Not only is this false, but there have been no fatalities and far fewer documented injuries than the rhetoric implies in either Boston or New York at the hands of ICE agents. So what is the basis for these two women making it unlawful for any member of New York State law enforcement to aid an ICE officer, and Mayor Lu has gone so far as to shut off all parking facilities for ICE vehicles? How does an elected official even think of something so ludicrous and then call a press conference to announce their earth-shaking decision? Power and hatred, pure and simple. I shake my head and wonder what is going through the minds of the legal props these politicians surround themselves with in their dress uniforms and shining badges to announce their reckless policies. There is no way these men and women who have taken an oath to protect the people can agree with these loose cannons at the microphone.

I have explained my reasoning in the past, but only a few political figures have earned the right to be known by initials. JFK, LBJ, and DJT are a few, and I never felt that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has done anything in her time in Washington to earn her three-letter logo. I also believe she took on her full name for political merit, which is why I use her more common name, Sandy. Sandy did something very surprising this week that I think will be her eventual undoing and end her quest for the White House that she does not deserve and the country could not handle. She had not paid her dues for seven years and had been eliminated from the ranks of the Democratic Socialists of America. She cut a check to the DSA this week and was welcomed back into the club. She is back in the fold with her like-thinking comrades, but she may have closed the door on any dreams of higher power in Washington. The clock has finally struck twelve for the Princess of the Bronx.

As if the new abortion laws do not sicken a sane person with a modicum of respect for life, the passed or planned euthanasia laws around the world will make you skip a meal. You have to really question the moral upbringing of a person who has such little concern for life that they are advocating for less restrictive laws that make it easier to end a pregnancy, including abortion up to the moment of birth, easier to voluntarily end your life, and disfigure your body during your life if you are not pleased with the gender God created you in. I think the last part of that sentence speaks volumes. The people who are pushing all of these life-changing laws are Godless individuals with no soul and no presence of a higher power in their hearts or minds. To them, life and the state of the body are up to the individual. We can come and go to and from life at will, and he can become she, or vice versa, at the flick of a switch. This whole set of topics is no longer the work of a singular Dr. Kevorkian-type person, but a spreading and growing movement of people who see their beliefs as compassionate and loving.
