Granite City Classic basketball players on newest athlete of week poll

With the Granite City Classic basketball tournament and other games throughout the area, there were still plenty of impressive performances out of local athletes last week to pick from in the St. Cloud Times athlete of the week poll. Senior basketball player Nathan Weiss set a Becker career record for made threes and Holdingford junior Carly Mithcell made a record 15 free throws in a game. Also impressive were basketball performances by a Husker junior on the boys side and a Foley senior. In hockey, the Sartell-St. Stephen/Sauk Rapids-Rice girls team is doubly represented and two players for the Storm boys team are listed.
