Churches must be careful to teach a Biblical ethic of marriage, rather than simply assuming that people in church actually understand and believe in the traditional sexual morality of opposite-sex monogamy.
Mental illness is not a denial of Scripture and, at the same time, sin should not be medicalized in such a way that we are never morally culpable.
'Conversion therapy' bans attack Christian faith and morals at a very basic level, the level of sexual morality.
