Over the past several years, I have been blessed with the opportunity to attend a Christian family camp with my daughter and her family called Camp Levi near Tillamook, Oregon. The week-long camp is designed to give caretakers a much needed break from the stressful demands of caring for a child with special needs. During the week, volunteers, both young and old, help with daytime care so the caretaker(s) can relax and visit with other families of children with special needs, often creating lifelong support and friendships.
