The Rules of Golf outlines whether a simple statement might actually be an instance of offering advice

There was an interesting moment during the final round of the Masters that brought Rule 10.2 into play—at least from the couch of some rules-savvy viewers. ICYMI, Cameron Young hit his drive on the ninth hole through the fairway and it came to rest under some branches. His caddie, Kyle Sterbinsky, appeared to help align him for his punch-out shot, and Young played without re-addressing the ball, which would appear to violate the rule on "advice and other help."

This isn’t one of the five bunker rules that everybody should know, but just to get in the spirit of things, we’ve got this fun fact for you: Bunkers don’t necessarily have to filled with sand. Seriously. In the definition of a bunker, it says “t he word ‘sand’ includes any material similar to sand that is used as bunker material (such as crushed shells), as well as any soil that is mixed in with the sand.”

Think of it as working out in reverse.

When you think about exercises, you probably focus on the first part of the movement—such as the push part of a push-up. But what happens on the way back down could be more important in terms of strength gains and injury prevention. For example, when jumping from a squat position, it’s the landing—not the jump—that’s too often ignored. “People don’t get hurt jumping, they get hurt landing,” says Golf Digest’s Chief Fitness Advisor Ben Shear. “And in golf, stopping the swing is causing most of the injuries. If you want to swing harder for power, you have to train your body to decelerate safely.”
