On Saturday, August 29, the Missisquoi Valley Union Thunderbirds girls' varsity soccer team fell 1-0 to Milton in a hard-fought road contest. Shelby Smith, MVU's keeper, made 18 saves, while Milton's keeper made 17. Milton scored with 2:40 left in regulation.
