Losing Suzuki for an extended period would be a big hit to an offense that had largely been carrying the team in the early going. But having already gotten off to a good start to the season (9-6), the Cubs could survive this IL stint with the hope that others step up as the team tries to build a deep and intimidating lineup. That they've been able to withstand the injuries they've already suffered is a good sign and bodes well as they look to get healthy for May and beyond.
