Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Zahid Saleem while briefing the meeting said that 220,000 illegal immigrants, mainly Afghans, had been deported from Balochistan since October 21, 2023.

The CM made the statement in a meeting with the delegation of Zamindar Action Committee, led by its president, Malik Naseer Ahmad Shahwani.

The committee members left for Chaman last night and met protest leaders, traders, politicians, business leaders of the Chaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other stakeholders.

He said that Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, is not governed by the government and it is being run as an NGO.

The president Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP), Karachi, on Monday announced the two-day Pakistan Literary Festival 2024 in the provincial capital.

The lawmakers made these demands during the session of Balochistan Assembly which started 50 minutes after its scheduled time.

They lamented that Balochistan “was not even part of the mainstream media discourse” to the extent that not a single news show was aired from Balochistan on private TV channels.

The Pakistan Literature Festival included several sessions from actors, comedians and a closing speech by the Balochistan chief minister.
