Memorial Day brings sunshine and comfortable conditions to the Las Vegas Valley, but a significant weather system moving in from the Pacific Northwest will bring strong winds and cooler temperatures starting Tuesday.

A strong low-pressure system is now gearing up to move into the region, bringing gusty wind, cooler temperatures and a slight chance of mountain showers later in the week. Tuesday and Wednesday are First Alert Weather Days as both are expected to bring the strongest winds, with gusts reaching up to 50 mph across parts of Southern Nevada.
