UConn has won back-to-back national championships. They’re the third program to accomplish the rare feat since the NCAA Tournament field expanded to 64 in 1985 (Duke in 1991 and 1992, Florida in 2006 and 2007).

Sam’s Section: The players with the best chances to win their first major championship
One game separates the UConn softball team (23-19, 10-5 Big East) and Seton Hall University (19-16, 9-6 Big East) in the Big East, with the Pirates tied with Creighton University for third place in the conference standings. This weekend, UConn and Seton Hall will face off in South Orange, N.J.
The NFL Draft begins Thursday night, and all eyes are on the top-four quarterbacks and where they may land in the first round: USC’s Caleb Williams, LSU’s Jayden Daniels, North Carolina’s Drake Maye and Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy. There’s also a plethora of offensive tackles, cornerbacks and wide receivers. In the final edition of Sam’s Section for this school year, we will look at my favorite prospects in this year’s draft.
