(Edwards AFB, CA ) -- U.S. Air Force officials have identified all eight people who were killed in Monday's B-52 bomber crash at Edwards Air Force Base, one of the victims is from Iowa. 35-year-old Brad Hovey was a 2009 graduate of Adel-Desoto-Minburn High School.

(Ames, IA ) -- Researchers at Iowa State are investigating how menopause can affect the brain. The BRAVA Study (BRAin & VAscular) will examine how menopause may accelerate brain and blood vessel aging. It will follow 370 women in menopause to examine changes in brain blood flow and it's link to cognitive function, biomarkers, and overall brain health. Researchers hope the findings will help explain women's higher risk of stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, and dementia.
