The Waterloo Black Hawks formally introduced their new head coach on Tuesday. Scott Gordon, a former NHL player and coach was introduced at SingleSpeed's Waterloo taproom. Gordon has an impressive resume as he previously served as the head coach of the New York Islanders of the NHL from 2008-2010, and the head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers during the 2018-19 season. He also has head coaching experience with the Providence Bruins and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League. As a goaltender, he played in 23 games with the Quebec Nordiques and in the minor leagues from 1986-1994.
